![]() ![]() FOR THE HORDE! Might as well start with one of the biggest out there. I started out in World of Warcraft when a friend from a former game was telling me about it. I was a little shy of MMOs after a very bad EverQuest experience, so it took some time for me to work up the 'courage' to try it. And then I was addicted. My first character was an undead mage that I began and unfortunately, never finished leveling. She was replaced by a Blood Elf hunter that was deleted soon after. After getting the hang of the game and jumping servers a few times, I finally made a Blood Elf mage that finally hit 60.. then 70 (level cap at the time). She was my first 80 and first 85. I love my mage, yes. I also currently have an 85 undead priest, 85 tauren druid, 83 night elf hunter, 82 blood elf paladin, 78 troll rogue, 75 worgen priest, 61 gnome warlock, 60 dwarf warrior, and a handful of others between 1 and 40. I have yet to be able to level a shaman to 60 or even get a death knight past the starting zone. If you like interacting with people, changes landscapes, huge worlds to explore, or just doing mindless killings, I would recommend this game to you. Funny Stories From WoW After my friend gave me a bit of gold and some bags, he pretty much left me alone unless I asked for help. I hadn't grasped the knowledge of the spellbook (I'm not much on reading guides, FYI) so I couldn't figure out how to get my wand to shoot. I ended up buying some bullets (hey, people, remember when you needed to buy bullets and arrows?!) and thought I could get the wand to shoot that way. /facepalm In old Feralas, there was a guy on top of a really high mountain that sold parachutes. I'm a mage, I have Slow Fall, I don't need no stinking parachute. I had enough feathers, after all. While on Skype with my friend, who was with me, I told him I was going to slow fall him down, along with myself. His words were: You should get a parachute, just in case. I pfft'd at him. I slow falled him and myself and we jumped. Slow Fall ran out and I went to Slow Fall myself again, not realizing I still had him targeted... Needless to say, my mage became a pancake on the ground and he couldn't stop laughing. ![]() If you have never seen Minecraft, it's basically a building / survival game. You build stuff, take care of crops, etc during the day and survive creepers, zombies, skeletons, etc at night. Usually from the safety of your home. In the Multiplayer world of my friend, it's usually from the safety of the watchtower in the middle of our town. And I'm normally watching people run from creepers, who blow up things (usually you). It's great for a laugh. Occasionally, I will see a zombie or skeleton to near our town and will run out to kill it in the dark. Yes, I do love to kill things. I will eventually get some screenshots linked here of our little town. In the meantime, here's a little pic of a friend and I discovering what bonemeal does to mushrooms. On top of shelters. So we don't get lost. :P ![]() If you enjoy using your imagination to make things with just a handful of tools, can see something where it's a vast barren land, or are an architect in training, I highly recommend this game for you. ![]() After all the hype, I decided to give Sims 3 a try and actually started to enjoy it. Right now I'm working on making a town full of vampires to take over the world! Going along with the whole creative architect thing from Minecraft, I believe my favorite thing to do in Sims 3 is actually building houses. Also.. killing off annoying people. Got to love inviting Dorie Hart over to my house, blocking her in, and watching her die of starvation. *cough* Do you enjoy having playing with people's lives and making them do what you want them to do? I would highly recommend this if you do. ![]() If you need me to explain this game to you, you seriously need to get away from that rock you're living under. All Zelda games are awesome. Just admit it, you know you want to. In all honestly, I've been playing Twilight Princess lately, and the game is fun, with the exception of the fishing. I have finally mastered fishing on the Wii, yay me! I recommend this game (Twilight Princess) to anyone just cause. ![]() This section will be expanded later, but for right now... Mario. I loved Super Mario, Super Mario 3, and Super Mario World back on the SNES. These new games (Mario Party 1 - 8) leave a lot to be desired. Mario 2 was boring to me. Dr Mario was awesome (but I love tetris). And .. Mario Kart. You have not lived until you've watched your 67 year old mother attempt to play Mario Kart on the Wii with the Racing Wheel. I laughed until I cried. Then I laughed some more. Final Fantasy - I still think Final Fantasy 7 was the best and it will remain that way even though I never finished it. (Thanks, Mike, for breaking my discs.) Final Fantasy 8 was decent and I managed to finish it. Final Fantasy 9 disappeared right after I moved, so I never did get to finish that. I finished Final Fantasy X and X-2, loved both. I played Final Fantasy XII before I got sucked into an overload of work, but didn't enjoy it as much. One day, I'll get around to the first couple, just have to get my hands on the Gameboy games. ![]() EverQuest - NO. Just no. For all the EQ fanboys that want to flame me. Go for it. I couldn't stand that game. Rift - Great graphics, great ways to play, the constant rifts opening irritated me when I couldn't finish a quest cause we had to go kill a rift. A WoW wannabe in a way, but I just couldn't get into it. ![]() ![]()
